First and foremost, I would like to apologize for breaking a promise. I promised to write twice a week and update you on my life’s work, but I failed. Therefore, I will write and deliver last week’s and this week’s blog tonight. Last week, I fell ill but I am all right now. I couldn’t write or even get out of bed. I had a migraine and couldn’t stand the light. This came after going to a concert.
On the night of the first weekend of this month, the was an African concert hosting a few Kenyan artists. The star of the night was Sauti Sol. King Kaka was also present that night and performed. It was great. An observation that I noticed that differentiate African concert from Western concert is that Africans are there as the main guest mostly. What I mean is that there were another artist in the show but the hall was not as fully packed as the two main artists were on stage.
So many Kenyans were there and the circle of people that I knew were but of course there to enjoy the night. The after-party was jammed up but I didn’t go there. My friends and I went to a Mexican restaurant at 2 am. At that moment I was happy. It was a simple gathering with friends just like in the movies. Laughter was in the air and well the drive back was long since we were all tired from jumping singing from the top of our lungs and just being awake after a long week of hard work.
It was my first concert and I enjoyed it.
I am a simple guy, maybe an introvert to some extent. The concert was flooded with so many people that I didn’t want to see people for a while. Staying alone indoors just to recharge myself. The concert made me question, where are the people coming from and how come whenever I go out I don’t see them. Socializing is important to me but not socializing all the time. I want some time alone so that I can play games, have self-talk, and self-evaluate my life’s work and plan.
Here is a plan that I need your help with. Me, I have a book called ‘Girl in Pieces’. I want to read it all and to do that, I would need some kind of push. If I have an accountability partner, I may read it all within the month. So if you can ask questions about the book in the comment section I will read and give you a detailed summary.
Progress on joining a book club is that there isn’t communication from the so what if I made my book club? What are your thoughts? What kind of book do I partake in? I want to be a reader and gain book knowledge, the old fashion way.
Finally, there as so many beautiful girls out here but while contemplating making a conversation with any of them, you wonder, since she is pretty does she have tattoos? It’s not a deal breaker for me. What breaks my heart is if she sells nude pics online. That just does it for me. I get irritated by that and disappointed. There are other ways of making money and being independent. Being naked online just supports the ideology of needing someone’s approval and acceptance and then you monetized it and say it’s… It’s just terrible. They sexualized a platform that was intended for the good purpose of supporting content creators and educators of the internet.
Well if you ever have a headache, try drinking salty water, you may be running low on sodium and salty water is a good source of it.
