I used to have a few girls’ phone numbers memorized to heart, I would try to call when I credit on my phone. At times, I would not make a move because I was afraid of ruining our simple relationship. I used to ask my buddies to call and make a move on my behalf. Ooh, the old days of relying on my homies for support. One day, I ask Dennis to call my crush and say that she had caught y attention and I would like to move the relationship to a higher level. The response that I got was outstandingly shocking for me. She asked, “Who is Bryan?” I mean, we do ask ourselves, what’s the worst that she could say? That stuff cut deeper than you’d think.
Another cute lady I had her number memorized was also a crush of my homie. One time we were out on a church field trip and the girl and I wandered to uncharted territories and did unspeakable things. We came back sweating. am joking. Nothing crazy happened between us because there were other girls in the area and I was not even acknowledged by the girl. But my homie did not believe me when I said nothing happened. To pay him for breaking the trust I had to buy him snacks for sometimes just to settle the matter.
Ps. I say lady instead of girl because they are ladies.
I have done crazy stuff in the name of liking someone and trying to impress them. The reason is that I love gift-sharing. A good example of this is the first time I was introduced to a beautiful lady, I was informed that later in the week was her birthday. So I got money from the place I worked and bought her a dress. Mind you that we have no history together and with the little information I had I thought she was single and maybe just maybe we could hit it off and become a couple. Nothing happened, she accepted the gift and I never saw her wear it. Even after a considerable number of requests.
Here is another crazy story, in high school, I had a godfather. A bunkmate who was older than me and was a bit tough. There was a function at the all-boys school and several schools were invited including girl schools. Kevin the bunkmate, called me and spotted a few girls near us and asked me to go and say hi to one of them or else. Now that I am old and a bit wiser, I do admit what I did was stupid. I denied the request, but they insisted so to cover my ass, I gave him a hundred shillings just to get off my back. She was cute but I had no confidence in wooing her into anything. In my defense, we would have ended up in a corner making out but I had no faith in myself accomplishing that.
I did ‘date’ a few times. But I may or may not have caused the downfall of the relationship. The first girlfriend I had was called Patricia. Hi Patricia. it was a long-distance relationship and we were introduced to each other thanks to my cousin. But I did nothing. We hung out a couple of times and there was no making out in those moments. How stupid of me not to know what to do. My second girlfriend was Hannah. Well, the downfall was because I hang out with my best friend, who at the moment was a girl, instead of her. Well, she could have come to hang out with us if she wanted to and whisper to my ear to say something. When I tried to reconcile it, we got into a short-fuse argument that just ended the relationship.
But I tend to rectify my mistakes and become a better man and do well. If it won’t work out it’s better if I just leave and find somewhere else and not waste any strength that I have. I haven’t gone on a date in like three years. And the last one I went to was a bummer. I asked a girl out and she brought her best friend so I brought my best friend hoping to equal the equation. Things went south faster than I thought. They became close and so the chance I had with her sailed out into the open sea.
In conclusion, I have not been good in the dating world, and am not saying I want to date the whole world, I just want that one person to cuddle with and grow with for the rest of my life. So few things to take care of are, my appearance and financial status. The appearance matter has been dealt with. I have a new hairstyle and now am working on seeking financial status by getting a new job.
