I hope you got a bit tense in that short monologue. Did you catch it? If not, here was my goal for that monologue. I want to learn how to command a room. That was just but an example of a scene where you are in trouble but the chaos is controlled. I believe there are several ways to command a room. In some cases you are funny, some are serious, and some are peaceful but the main concern is that you are guiding the room in the direction you wish. Call it being a manipulator but I beg to differ. My goal is to have a command that guides everyone to their goal and at the same time a group goal.

Maybe am being too optimistic. You have to swallow the hard pill and guide them in a way that most benefits you without them realizing it. In the end, the goal is met and the group has accomplished its task. Trying to have everyone benefit is a fine stretch of strength. You may not accomplish everything in the same period of trying to benefit all but you can allocate things and have the delegated go as far as they can with a little push.

Being able to command a room and maintain a sense of peace and leadership is quite the skill I would like to have. Also, the fact of peace in that leadership helps you tackle challenges with the help of everyone and find solutions very quickly.

Back in high school, I used to be in leadership. I’ll admit I wasn’t the best role model in the class and would sometimes end up in trouble with other classmates. Despite all those facts, I ended up in a leadership role when I transferred schools. Several times I have been called a leader but have been shy to take up the role and guide them. When I tried, I failed, but that should not put me down, right? That is why am taking this chance to learn from all means possible on how to command a room.

I have noticed that when delivering a speech, those who captivate the audience take their time as they talk and have several pauses for the information shared to be ingested by the brain. There was a TEDx talk about how the way you phrase your speech attracts attention even tho you may be speaking nothing but gibberish. Here is a link to the video and you will be amazed just as I was. So, walk with me on this journey as we both learn how to command a room and amid chaos, you bring peace. “In war, prepare for peace; in peace, prepare for war.” – Sun Tzu, author, ‘The Art Of War’.
